I am fairly new to the world of HT and looking for advice on a HT 5.1 system.
Price range: $1500 - $2000 (speakers & receiver)
Room size: 25 x 25

Local dealer has recommended a Mirage FRx set up with a Yamaha receiver:
FRx-Five fronts
FRx-Center
FRx-Rear
FRx-S8 sub
Yamaha RXV620

I like the sound from the speakers and have read some good things about them from this site & others. However, I am considering upgrading to the RXV800 or even the Denon 3801. Any thoughts on these match ups? With a room this size should I consider upgrading the speakers as well, perhaps to the OM-Series? Thanks in advance.

I have also been using Mirage speakers for a few years now, first with a Denon 3600 and now with a Denon 3801. I agree with Tom about the fronts and sub for your room size.

Also, if get the Denon 3801 (I love mine with the Mirages) you will need another set of rear centers or a single rear center for the 6.1/7.1 modes. This will up your budget somewhat. I would suggest upping the fronts and sub now and then adding the rear's at a later date.
