Mu question might be relevant for owners of other processors as well:
This HDMI processor receives PCM/LPCM "unzipped" audio data. It does not decode neither of new HD audio formats. On the other hand, all of recent multimedia streamers (e.g. Divco, Popcorn) support only passthrough of the stream in the best case, relying on the receiver to do the decoding job.
I settled with the PS3 for a while, but it is kind of cumbersome for streaming home content, and there is a lot of manual job for preparing the files.. Also, it does not support all of the new HD formats (although some are planned)
One of the ideas was to use Pioneer blu-ray player that has multimedia capabilities, but also it was said that it is not so good at that.. And I already have a blu-ray player - PS3. Pioneer also decodes only Core stream of DTS-HD.
Which multimedia streamer can be used today for home HD content (think blu-ray rips), which will decode also all HD formats into LPCM?
