Does anyone have any experience with this amp? I picked one up for around 150.00 which seems like a pretty good deal... just unsure how good it is due to lack of online reviews. I plan on using this with a Denon 988 and Paradigm Studio 100 speakers. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Awesome... it was from an estate sale and tested power on w/ the three clicks. Hopefully it is working... if not, it's defiantly not going to be a steal How is the sound quality in general on them? anything out of the ordinary to be aware of when setting it up?

The only gripe I have with my C-200, is when you turn it on you get a popping, not loud, but sensitive speakers could be affected buy it... Most people just leave it on. Or the 12volt trigger seems to eliminate this. The sound quality is quite good, better to my ears than Aragon/Acurus/Parasound etc..

I have that issue with my c-300 when turning it on. There is a slight popping on the speakers. I tried to connect a mono cable for the 12volt trigger but is just not working with my receiver (denon avr-988). You must need some kind of proprietary 12v trigger cable for this amp :/ I am just worried about leaving it on and having a power outage... when the power comes back on I would hate to have the amp do a loud "pop". Is this a valid concern or am I being over-paranoid?

Also, sound quality wise this thing is just amazing. I can't believe how much better it sounds over the denon receiver with my paradigm 100's v.2. It's really night and day even at low volumes.

Trigger for chiro amp. If you are using a chiro pre amp and have the 12volt trigger jack, plug jack end into amp trigger input. On pre amp end at the 12volt trigger output, connect white wire to top right "delay on" clip. Connect the red wire to lower right delay on clip. Ground wire is not used.

Thats easy. Go to real cheap electonics store. It is just an old school headphone jack, or any device that would use that jack. 12volt. I bought one for a second c300 from radio shack and cut the one end off . Strip the wire and you are in buisness. It should cost you about $2us dollars tops.
end

I have a Chiro amp and am having trouble getting the trigger to work.
The amp has a 1/4" headphone type jack. If it is 12 volt, is the center positive? Do I need a mono 1/4" to 1/8" adaptor for the jack on the amp.
The trigger plug on my AVR is center positive. It works for a Niles AC-3 outlet.
The Chiro amp needs to remain in standby mode, 1 of 2 red lights lit.
If I plug it into the AC-3, all power is cut and I get a load pop when all power to the Chiro is shut off.

It is a nice amp, but I hate having to manualy power up and down.

Thanks, Ann

I have had chiro products since 1960 and have had good success.
My question is where can I find a new or used chrio c-200?

Used, try audiogon, ebay. Chances of finding a new one are probably somewhere between slim and none.

It's a good amp. Does anyone know if the C-300 is supposed to use a 250V power fuse? The fuse I just replaced was 250V, but that was from a store and the manual doesn't answer my question.
