I am playing to buy an Onkey Receiver in the 606 or 706, however i live in a country where Onkyo receiver are not easy to find and the line voltage is 220v/50Hz. I have seen that mostly all the receivers in the US are only 110v. and not 110/220.
My plan would be to add a big 220/110v tranformer however I would like to ask if any of you have opened or knows how the Onkyos Power Supply works, meaning that if it is only rectifier or if it extracts the line frequency for something.
I have done this previously with a Sony and had not any problem.

Thanks in Advance!
