Thanx for any help in advance, I'm looking to Better Understand How to Set the High and Low Pass settings on my Receiver and Set my Subwoofers Accordingly

My Receiver ( Onkyo TX-SV919THX ) I Know, its about 12 years Old, And Weighs about 65 LBS But I Love it. ** NOTE----> Dolby 5.1 is NOT built in

Blue ray Player ( Sony Bdp-300 )

My Front Towers are JMLAB ( Tantal 515's With a Freq. Response of 52Hz-22kHz )

2 Subs ( M&K V-76 with a Low Pass Filter setting between 50-125 Hz, Also theres a "BYPASS" Opton as well ) Both subs are in the front next to each Tower

As Of Right Now:

The Receiver Has the High and Low Pass settings set to OFF

Blue Ray Player has the speakers set to LARGE ( Should they even be Set to Large??? )

Both Subs are on Set to BYPASS

Sub #1 is set with L.P.F Variable setting of about 70Hz

Sub #2 is set with L.P.F Variable setting of about 100Hz

I am Very Happy with The Performance of my Equipment, It has a SOLID
Mid-range and Upper End, But also Plenty of Deep Bass, that isnt to out of Place or to Boomy

So why Fix it if it isnt Broken and am Very Happy with the Performance????

I just to Make sure that the Equipment that I'm Using is being Used to its FULL Potential.

Thanx again for any Comments or Replys that you have.

How is the Sony hooked up to the receiver? Via components and a sub cable?

Since there is no crossover setting on the receiver and the low pass is off, I'm a little surprised that you're getting anything out of the subs at all ... Do you still have the manual for the Onkyo?

The Sony DVD Players Audio is Connected with an RS-232 Connector on 1 end ( Goes to Onkyo ) and 6 RCA jacks on the connected to the ( 5.1 Outputs on Sony ) The Onkyo Recieves the Discreet 5.1 Audio and Sends to To those Channels, Via that Cable.
Yes, I have the Manual for the Onkyo

Thanx for your reply
