HI All-

Quick question- I'm having a few issues with my 3310 and my salesperson offered to sell me a new 4310 for a difference of only 300 (as opposed to the 500).

Is this a good deal? Anyone out there with a 4310 can tell me what I'm really getting for the difference? I've done quite a bit of comparisons and the one thing that really stands out on the 4310 is the better gui & ipod connectivity in the front-

Anything else a 4310 owner can point out?

Thanks all

Not a lot of difference. 4310 does have Audessey Multi-EQ XT, 3310 doesn't. Maybe batpig will come in with the answers you need.

Before I would think of recommending anything, I'd sure like to know what the "few issues" you're having are. How else could anyone know if they are addressed in the 4310CI?

$300 sounds reasonable; In addition to what you mentioned above, you get a beefier amp section, an extra HDMI input, Denon link (if DSD for SACD is important), and AL24 on all channels. I myself bought a 3310 but the upgrade (bear in mind I'm in Canada MSRP of the 3310 and 4310 are $1,930 and $2,700 respectively) to a 4310 would have cost me $530 ($1,470 for the 3310 versus $2,000 for the 4310 including tax).

Great question SelfGovern.

The issues I have been having are typically around Internet Radio/Rhapsody & the flaky web interface. Firmware has also been a bit of an annoyance.

Basically what happens in Internet radio is when I sometimes select a station my TV screen flashes a few times, then I lose my picture. After that I can do one of two things- hit the NET/USB button a few times or power the unit down fully. As for Rhapsody- it works I'd say like 60% of the time. It's incredibly flaky and not the least bit stable.

Do you feel this is worth the added cost of $300?

The upgraded Audyssey in itself is worth the extra $300 in my opinion plus you can give DSX a try to see if you like it.
