Probably sitting out in the open which allows them to hear all the relays clicking.
Is this normal? Yes. My older onkyo did it, my 876 did it, so did my 906, and now my 5007..
I must say my 876 also clicked but not as much as the 3007 i have now.
I do find the clicks to be a bit louder, but its also a sign its doing something
What i do not like is the fact that its clicking away when i use the listening mode
button, so when i am trying the different audio modes.
And the most strange thing is that sometimes its not clicking at all when i am changing the modes
Why ? i don't know.........
I do have other strange problems.
When i used audio modes what uses front wide or front high my left front speaker starts to make a noise like static electricity on ALL sources.
(used or un-used sources !)
I can hear this on normal listening levels (but very faint) but after volume level 60 its is very much there, but only
on the left front speaker.
I can also hear it when its doing Audyssey setup, Audyssey starts with left front, no problem, it starts to do the wide and heigh speakers and there it is again.....
Receiver has been to the repair shop for an other problem (new HDMI board) and mentioned also this problem, but it came back still with this strange problem.
So i guess they can not track the problem.
I have tried switching HDMI cables, switching speakers, switching inputs, using other power outlets, but no luck in tracking down the problem.
And sometimes for days i do not hear the noise, and then out of the blue its back..................
But i still like the 3007 with all its great options......... PS. Net/Usb, Direct, Pure and Stereo have this problem NOT !
