I plan on buying the Klipsch Synergy Quintet III Home Theater Speaker System for about $200 and for the sub I am planning on getting the Polk Audio PSW110 for about $135...now all I need is receiver which I would like to spend $250 or less on to go with these speakers and sub...
I was looking at the Onkyo TX-SR507 5.1-Channel A/V Surround Home Theater Receiver for $231 open box on amazon, but idk much about recievers...
Or if you know of a better setup I could get for about $550 including taxes and shipping let me know...

Thanks for any help!

Energys do get good reviews as do the Klipsch. Most would buy a better sub such as a bic h-100. You can always do better if you're willing to spend a little more but if price is most important then go with Energy or Klipsch.

Polk SL2000WC $3 DIY mod. Smaller the uf, the less harsh your SL2000 is.
1. SRS: .47 uf/250v mylar cap top SL2000, 1.0 2nd, 1.0 3rd, .47 bottom
2. 2.3: 1.0 middle
3. 1C: 1.0 top
4. 2B: 1.0

So what receiver should I get if I was to get the klipsch speakers and the sub? Is the Onkyo one that I listed the best that I could get for $250 or less or would you recommend anything else?

The 507 looks like a very nice receiver.
Enjoy it.

Hey OP, I was looking around as well and already bought some stuff.

Heres some things to note. If you buy something from newegg via Bing Cashback, theyre giving 10% discounts on your purchase. You gotta do a search for "newegg" on Bing, and click on the ad to get the 10%. They have the Energy Take 5.0 for a good price + the 10% (it is ok to say prices? The sticky says otherwise?).

I ended up getting a sub from the Speaker Company, they have a 20% off coupon

In all, I spent 300 bucks on speakers (I went with the Klipsch Quintet (From Vanns, new egg doesnt carry them) + TSC 8" Sub). No shipping charges.

Gotta love black Friday deals

Also, again with Bing, you can find a Denon AVR 790 for 314 bucks. if you dont mind shelling out a little more
