I sure don't need to spend 2k right now on a 4810.

The new Onkyo AVRs series 08 will be shown at CES and shipping in April, will use a new more powerful DSP that will include the Audessey DX feature...

Just my $0.01...

I keep seeing on these forums too many complaints about issues with the onkyos. I would rather stick with denon or marantz.

This is what I'm really interested in as well.
I spoke to Denon today and of course they had absolutely nothing to say about anything new coming out for 2010.
I have purchased in the past and a still own Denon flagship AVR, but quite honestly it's processing is becoming outdated.
The 4810 offers better processing ( DSX and Denon link 4) but is less powerful and not THX Ultra2 certified.
I'm really hoping Denon will unveil some new AVR's or processors at the CES show.
Onkyo makes some great AVR's that have DSX and are a good value.
Unfortunately they don't have Denon link and I personally would just rather have a Denon.

Something from them would be nice. Maybe too close to the release of the 4810 though.

Anything is possible.
We will just have to wait and see
The CES show is starting soon so we should be getting some news about something.
I will be surprised if Denon has NO new offerings for 2010.

A 3808 class model with 7 channels of amplification but with pre-outs on the wide and height channels to allow 11 channels used at the same time would be nice

Haven't seen a lot of specifics on this; here's one news story. Any more details anyone can provide?

Is Audyssey DX different from Audyssey DSX, which is already in the 707 and up?

Onkyo Plans HDMI 1.4 AVRs In Spring
By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 1/6/2010
Las Vegas - Onkyo has joined the short list of component-audio suppliers with announced plans to offer components with HDMI 1.4 connections.

The brand will introduce its first HDMI 1.4-capable products in the spring but said the products wouldn't be displayed at International CES. All new A/V receivers will incorporate the interface, said marketing manager Paul Wasek.

Yesterday, Sherwood announced plans at CES to launch its first two products with HDMI 1.4, and at CES, at least one other audio company will launch an HDMI 1.4-capable product.

In Onkyo A/V receivers, HDMI 1.4 will support 3D video and audio return channel capabilities, the company said. The audio return channel lets a TV with HDMI 1.4 input send audio data "upstream" over an HDMI cable to an A/V receiver or surround processor, eliminating the need for a separate S/PDIF audio connection.
