I am having a recurring and sometimes random video problem with my Integra DTR-5.9.

Here's the setup:

HDMI Out - Samsung Plasma
HDMI 1 - Playstation 3 BluRay
HMDI 2 - nothing
HDMI 3 - Cable Box
HDMI 4 - nothing
Component Video in - Wii
RCA Audio in - Wii

I had a problem this summer where the Wii (not played very often) had sound but no video. No settings were changed in the Integra, but all of a sudden the video just stopped outputting to the TV. At the same time, the On Screen Display stopped outputting to the TV as well. I also could not get anything out of the front-side AUX jacks.

I took the unit back to my retailer for a warranty repair. They gave me the floor model as a loaner. Everything worked fine and rather than swap units again, I kept the floor model.

Flash forward to last night. Wii not working again and OSD not on screen. I played with turning off and on the receiver and Wii in different orders and was able to get it to work after a lot of frustration.

Now tonight I went to watch a movie on the BluRay player and I have no video from the PS3. Sound is there, but no picture whatsoever - just a black screen. The Wii wasn't working either, but now has come back as has the OSD. But no matter what I do, I can't get the DVD to output to the TV.

Any idea what's going on?

Is this a known issue?

Some of the Motorola cable boxes can have a higher than normal voltage output over HDMI and came cause problems with some receivers and Pre/Pro's.

there is a service bulleting that 3 capacitors need replacing in the HDMI board or the board itself needs replacing. usually the unit will still output in comp video.
get it to the servicecenter for your warranty repair. Unless your in So. Texas, and then u can bring it to us!
thx, alan
