Gotta say, I am underwhelmed with this receiver so far.

Just doesn't sound as good as either the Pioneer it replaced or the B&K that came before the Pioneer.

Have spent a lot of time in the menu, adjusting things and just can't make it have the same punch or sound quality.

No-sound repair program

Wow, I first posted to this thread in 2010, when I bought my 708. But I saved a bookmark to it. So when my sound went out, I came here, and found the repair program. It's still going, and I qualify! (serial number starting with 0933, so even older than the example in the signup form). My return box is on the way.

So this forum just saved me from shelling out a bunch more dollars for a new receiver! I still like forums better than Facebook or Twitter, because its easier to navigate forums and find what you need.
