As the title says, I'm going to be setting up an Onkyo SR-308 receiver with two Primus P252 fronts and a BIC H100. This is for a small apartment.

Is the SR-308 enough to power the speakers to an acceptable loudness? If not, how about with some Primus P162s? For the sake of my neighbors I'm not really looking to shake the building.

Depends on the desired SPL. 65 watts is actually a good amount IF it could put that out will all channels driven. I suspect it can't. But note that you can play fairly loud with just one watt of power - the main need for lots of power is on peaks.

Seems a bit underpowered to me, assuming that it can't do 65x5 all channels driven ( leaving me to wonder how much real power it has.)
