Sorry about your bad luck. I can't say that i've ever heard of that as a recurring issue. In fact, that's the first mention of it that I can recall. Unfortunately, Pioneer from what I understand it pretty strict regarding their policy of not honoring warranties on Elite models purchased online. However, one can always try I suppose. Regardless, you may want to check Pioneer's website to see how much the display runs. perhaps it's not exorbitant to replace and maybe it's not a difficult procedure.
