I just got the Pioneer VSX-820 receiver. Have PS3, PC and a comcast cable box/dvr (DCX3400) connected to the receiver by HDMI. Connected the receiver to my tv (Pioneer PDP-4280HD). I hear audio on the speakers I hooked up to the receiver when I select the PS3 or cable box but get no picture on the TV.

Each source works fine when connected directly to the tv by HDMI. I'm tearing my hair out; tried rearranging the cables to see if it is a cable problem. Nothing. Has anyone faced this issue? Any suggestions. Thank you.

Hi heathersil, try power cycling the equipment in a certain order: turn on Tv first, then receiver and last source (give a few seconds in between for full power up).

Or try setting source and/or receiver resolution to output 720p.

I just bought one and taking it back tomorrow for the same reason, video is not working. It flickers for one second, then bails. Not my problem, Pioneer needs to make something worth a squat if they want us to buy it.. go fry in hades. This goes back and I buy from someone else, I didnt pay to trouble shoot their garbage.
