I am new to this forum...

My background is that I work at audiovideo shop for 27 years. Been a lot of changes since I started in this industry!!! When I started there average system was turntable, cassette deck, int amplifier + 2 speakers

Where I work, we sell Pioneer Elite, Denon, Yamaha for AV receivers and now Athem. These arrived this week

None of the AV receivers sound as good as Bryston or McIntosh preamp processors + power amps.

But I have to say these best sounding AV receivers I heard yet. The ARC processing can not be beat. Once you see mic and stand used with this setup - all other setups for other receivers seem to be a joke in comparison!!!

I will use this as preamp for av sources and use McIntosh MC300 power amp for front main channels.

At least this unit can play back wav audio files from usb drives.

Even radio section sounds good.

This receiver been only playing for less than 1 hour now but I am impressed with the sound so far.

Please play with it some more (at least a few weeks to a month), set it up in at least a 5.1 or 7.1 configuration with at least 1 (preferably 2) HiDef HDMI sources switching through the unit and then report back again! Thanks.
