I bought a vsx-920 from it amazon, when i set it up it started shuting itself off.So iam returning, what iam wondering is,the day it got shipped to me it was very cold say 10 degress. When i took the receiver out of the box,it was ice cold.Would like to know, could the cold weather have a factor in the receiver malfunctioning.Want to hear what others think, thanks.

Was it shutting off with no speakers or sources connected to it? Did you try resetting the microprocessor as listed in your owner's manual?

I am having the same issue with my vsx-920k. The unit will work fine for a few hours. I then turn it off. The the next day I go to use the unit and it powers on then shuts off right away. The only way I can get it to come back on and stay on is to unplug the unit for a day or so.
