I have an older Onkyo 603x with no HDMI. I specifically bought the Panasonic BD-85K so that it could decode lossless audio and send it to the 603x via analog because a new receiver just isn't in the budget right now.
Over analog I only get sound from the center channel analog input. I'm pretty sure the problem is on the receiver side. I know that the blu-ray player is sending the signal for the other channels because I can plug in their cables from the player to center channel on the receiver and I get the sound. I can take the same cable that had sound when plugged into the center-channel and plug it in to the other speaker inputs and get no sound.
All of the speakers work when connected via optical, so I know they're connected properly. It's only an analog problem. I'm using the "test" feature on the BD-85K analog speaker setup to send white noise to each speaker, so it isn't some deal where I'm playing something with no surround track.
It appears to me that the problem is on the reciever side and not the Blu-ray player. It looks like either only the center channel analog input is working or there's a setting somewhere in the 603x that I need to change. I sure haven't found anything.
Any help woul be greatly appreciated. I'd love to get this working. Even though I can only hear it through the center channel I can tell a big difference when playing lossless content over analog versus optical.
