I have an unique problem and I seek your help.
Trying to set up a karaoke machine for my in-laws. The Karaoke machine comes in 2 parts:
- a touch-screen monitor (basically a PC) with all the software. It has a HDMI output for video/audio.
- a mixer that takes RCA analog audio from the said monitor, and 2 MICs. It outputs (through RCA analog) the original songs + MICs
The machine is from asia. According to my in-laws, most people connect the touch-screen PC to a regular TV through HDMI for the video. They would mute the volume on the TV.
They will then connect the mixer to an audio speacker/receiver, and use the audio from there instead.
In my setup I have vsx-1021k connected to a projector through HDMI (inside the wall/ceiling). If I am to use the above methods, it either will be ugly or expensive.
My question is: does vsx-1021k has the ability to mix video/audio of difference source? That is, can I use the HDMI video input from the touch-screen PC and the analog audio from the mixer? According to post #24
of this very own thread it seems possible and I have not been able to achieve it.
any help is very much appreciated,
