Any news about New receivers/ amplifiers/ seperates from Denon?
Heard a rumour earlier that Denon would announce new models in the last half of march.

JR.com has brief descriptions and pricing on the new Denons or at least some of them but no pictures. Could that be right? Look at the pricing showing MultiEQ XT. Scroll to the bottom. Pricing seems to have dropped on the models. Wonder where they cut corners?

Yup ... MSRP prices dropped the previous year as well and with Audyessy MultEQ XT 32 being released on the 4311 it was only natural for the MultEQ XT being dropped down to the lower level models.

Sweet!!! The 2312/2112 will be unstoppable with xt. The prices are great. I wonder what the 3312 will have. If it has XT32 at 999 I will get one for sure. If not the 2312 will be mine!

Looks like network and audyssey improvements throughout the line. The 2312 seems to maintain anchor bay abt2015 while the 2112 offers networking and XT. Nice to see Airplay down the line-up too.

I hear ya, I would love to have XT32 in this guy, don't really have any need for 9.1 like the 4311 or even 11.1, but I REALLY want XT32 in my next receiver =). I would have looked at the Onkyo 3008, but now im not so sure after that posting that one person's caught on FIRE...

Word is that the new line is supposed to be introduced on Friday, April 1, although as that is April Fools Day ... possibly next week is more realistic.

I looked at the J&R link but I do not see any xx12 models. Maybe they were removed? It would be nice to see XT32 in the 3312.

not directly denon, but since it's a sibling unit, i wonder if we'll get an av7006 (or whatever) pre-pro with similarly upgraded features...

Marantz is always at least a year behind everyone else, so your'e stuck with that "behind the times" AV7005. Me, however it looks like that 4311 is going to be mine sooner than I thought.

^^^Denon ought to send me one for free as often as I've recommended that 4311. How do you go from a severe Yamaha A3000 itch to a fever for the Denon 4311? Sometimes I hate this hobby. I want to try that DSX wide so bad its killing me.

Yea you recommended the 4311 so much you have me wanting one now. It all depends on the 3312. If it has XT32 then I might get it. If it does, I'm sure the 4311 prices will drop big time. No telling what the 4312 will have. XT164???

One would think that if XT is going to the 23XX then hopefully XT32 is coming to the 33XX? Fingers crossed!

It would be cool but I'm wondering what would be the big ticket feature to upgrade to the 4312. The more I think about it the more I doubt the 3312 will have XT32. I really hope it does but who knows. I guess I will just have to wait till Denon makes the official announcement. They need to hurry up!

Just get the 4311 at its reduced price and your'e good to go. That's a win win IMO. Okay Denon that another sell for me, when do I get my free 4311? Sell that 3310 you have and make the leap man. You work for it and deserve to splurge every once in a while.

wow. I am impressed I would be very excited to pick up a 2312 or 3312... my only question with the Denon's I know these are high quality components, but compared to the Onkyo's and brands with THX certification.. Do you think this is something that is necessary? I'm not trying to start a troll thread or anything I just haven't bought a receiver before and have been dealing with an AWFUL Samsung AS720 HTIB setup and I can't wait to get my HSU sub and new receiver... If it's not a 'dealbreaker' not having the THX cert on the denon I am almost certianly going to pick one up...

THX certification is not important. If the Denon has the features you want go for one. Choose your model and don't look back. It will perform as well as any comparable Onkyo for sure, maybe even rate higher without the THX brand on it.

Like phantom said, THX is no big deal. Recently, the test bench that I have seen, have Denons doing better for 5 channel and 7 channel specs than Onkyo. The only real reason to want THX is for the extra surround modes. I've never been a big fan of them but I'm sure some people use them. I would much rather have a receiver with better room correction (MultiEQ XT) than THX. Many companies don't get their receivers tested by THX because they don't want to pay the large fee to have the logo on their receiver.

Is there a significant sound quality difference between the current 3311 and 4311? I wonder why the 3312 appears that it will be cheaper.

It depends how cheap they get. I will probably get a bigger TV or a projector first. I think in 6 months or so the 4311 will be pretty cheap. I will probably need to get my network card fixed if I want to sell the 3310. It was such a good deal it will be hard to sell it. We’ve become very close.

They should have Denon reps in this forum that give out receivers to people who recommend them or are very helpful with them. I think you, jdsmoothie and Batpig all deserve one for sure. ccotenj should get one too if he sends me the 7005.

I can agree with the jdsmoothie and batpig deserving something from Denon. Heck these guys have their own web pages dedicated to em. They have done more for Denon and helping people get them set up probably more than a Denon CSR.

There won't be an AVR4312. AVR4311 will remain current through this model year due to the release date last year and the Airplay upgrade via the network connection.

Expect the price to remain at $1999 for a while longer.

You can get it for less than that if you call the vendors. There are already members here you have got it for much less than that. You have to call though. The websites are required to list MSRP. It's the same for all of these AVR's no matter the brand or model. Go to J&R Video and look at the price for the 4311. Below it it will state "call for current price".
