Hello, I would like some help picking a new receiver, as my Harmon Kardon DPR 2005 just died on me, and the part which needs replacing is no longer available. Some details about my current system:

Fronts: Infinity Alpha 50 (8 ohm) (10-200 W recommended power)
Center: Infinity Alpha 37C (8 ohm) (10-150 W recommended power)
Rears: Infinity Primus 250 (8 ohm) (10-150 W recommended power)
Sub: Polk PSW 404

Inputs: PS3 (HDMI), Toshiba HD-DVD Player (HDMI), mp3 player/computer (3.5mm)
Television: 42 Panasonic Plasma (720p/1080i) from 2006 [not looking to upgrade anytime soon]

This will be used mostly for watching movies/television and playing video games, and occasionally be used to stream Pandora from my laptop, or play mp3's from my phone. I am looking to spend somewhere between $200-400. A 5.1 system is fine for me, as I have no plans to upgrade to 7.1. Any type of networking capability is a plus but not a requirement.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

The Denon 1911 is on sale now because the 1912 will be coming out in a couple months. Here is a link. That would be a nice receiver in your price range. If you want networking you could wait for the new models to come out such as the Denon 1912. It would be outside your budget but it probably wouldn't take long to find it on sale. Also the Pioneer 1021 is a feature packed receiver with networking so you may want to consider it as well. If you are using an iPhone I would strongly recommend the AppleTV. I got one to use with my Denon and I love it. You can stream all the music in your iTunes and use your phone as the remote.

THe Denon 1911 I believe is a good coice as well... only goign by reviews though as I have the Onkyo line (808 version). Heres a couple of more ideas to look at ( posted below) as the 1st post is the Onkyo 509 in which has internet cap. at the price you were looking at. The others would be a great choice as well but may have just a tad bit highr price tag... but worth looking at thou.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I have narrowed my choices to the Onkyo TX-SR608 and the Yamaha RX-V667. They have about the same power ratings. The only real difference that I can tell is that the Onkyo has a SNR of 106 dB and Audyssey while the Yama has 100 dB and no Audyssey. This has me leaning toward the Onkyo, which a buddy of mine has and highly recomends. Does anyone have any thoughts between these two?
