Should be, I just hooked mine up to my 807 onk with just the cable. Went into my zone 2 output on the back and just have to activate the z2 button my remote, not sure how similar or not your yam is.

I'm guessing you have the interconnects already such as the RCA or XLR cables?

All I'm looking to do with mine is just having to turn on the yammy and have the amp come on with it.

While that may work.....you only need a mono, not stereo, cable.

Right, I got my trigger cable included with my amp, maybe call Emo and ask if they could send one out?

For my XPA2, I picked up a mono cable from Radio Shack.

Awesome. I'll get that one.

So I can learn, what's wrong with using a stereo plug to connect the devices?

I had picked up a stereo cable while waiting for my XPA2 to arrive. Posts on another forum said the stereo cable was needed for the trigger.
This was the first time using a trigger for me, so that's what I bought.
When I got the amp and installed it in my system with the stereo cable, it didn't work.
Ran out to Radio Shack and got the mono cable, and that worked.

ETA: The cable you posted is 1/8. I'm assuming that's equivalent to 3.5mm which is what you need (too early for me to do the math heh heh).
