Hello Everyone,

I have an SR6006 and recently encountered a strange problem. The subwoofer output has stopped working.

I have tried the subwoofer on another avr and it works fine in that.

Even when i go to settings and enable or disable the settings for subwoofer nothing happens and it does not power the sub.

I have done a reset as well.

any help would be much appreciated.

Refer to p. 150 of your SR6006 Owner's manual and do a microprocessor reset.

On more current models (ie. 2015 and newer), yes, but not on the SR6006. Ensure the sub pre-outs are enabled (ie. subwoofer not set to NONE in Manual Setup), otherwise, repair would be the next step.

thanks, i had tried that as well, funny thing is that one onescreen i had seen that though the subwoofer was set to"ON" the status showed as off on one of the web pages , that the reason i feel that its a software related issue.

i guess i may have to take it in for repairs only.

thanks again for the quick reply

Hi all,

Hopefully I'll have some luck here with my issue I posted in another thread: System intermittently playing audio through TV

Was told to try my luck here. If anyone could help that would be great.
