Ok. He made a few adjustments for me. Changed my ATT Uverse from HDMI TO Composite with the digital optical connection. With my Sony Blu Ray, the DTS Neo:6 was switched from Off to Cinema, and the Downmix kept at Surround, naturally. On the 50.3, in Setup, Monitor Out, HDMI Main (since it is hooked up via HDMI), he put Resolution to 1080p, then the rest was set to how everything is set up (HDMI, Component, etc.). Then, with Speaker setup, ran Audyssey and only changed THX Setup
The ultra2 was Yes, BGC and Loudness Plus was Off, and Preserve THX was Yes. Source set up Audyssey to Movie (I watch more movies) and Dynamic EQ and Volume to Off. Picture Adjust to Auto and Picture Mode to Through. Listening Mode presets, set them to what you want. Mine is Analog... to PL II Movie and the Dolby and DTS to THX Cinema. The Game was the same except everything ended in Games. Volume Setup was Absolute. Then in Hardware set up, made sure I had current version. The only other thing we changed was on the remote, under the ENTER button is the little Home button. Press that, and you can set things here for everything connected. I never knew about this until today. Under Audio, by turning the Dolby Volume from Off to On gave a lot of added volume. With the Audyssey, I set the BD to Movie (naturally), and kept Dynamic EQ and Volume to Off to keep the added punch. The Re-EQ set to On (for balancing THX Sound levels). Well, that's about it. Sorry it's so long. If anyone has input, please let me know. I am always willing to learn something new.
