I just bought a new house, with the living room measuring 17'x17 also connecting to foyer and bar window to kitchen, all floors being tiled.
It is pre-wired for a 5.1 system in the living room, as well as an outdoor speaker, and I have a Sony Bravia KDL 46EX500 (wall mounted). (not Internet TV nor 3D). HDMI connects tv to "will be" receiver.
Primary use is TV-sports etc, movies, Wii, two zone indoor/ outdoor for parties, BBQ, etc. No serious requirements on HUGE volume output. No real gaming requirements needed. However, Netflix, etc IS needed
Inputs are Cablebox, Wii, DVD/blueray...pretty standard stuff.
Looking to spend <$1000 preferably and need the following:
Receiver unit (2 zone for indoor/outdoor options) does this mean 7.1 is needed?
(one of which needs wireless Internet connectivity as I understand it).
speaker set-up (white "preferred" by the fiancé)
on wall tilting option mounts
outdoor speaker (1 prewired, more MAY be added in future)
what else am I missing?
a control all remote will be in the near future if needed.
I'm totally new to this so any and all recommendations, links, advice, or other input is more than welcome. I'm starting to get a grasp on what is needed but fall short on what to get.
