Title Says it all. Im returning my Sony STRDH520 originally for the Denon AVR1611 But noticed that it only has 1 optical out, which I would like to have 2. So I browsed around some more and found the Yamaha HTR-5063BL. I know Both are good receiver manufactures, but is Denon that much better then Yamaha and worth losing a optical? I know Denon power ratings are much more accurate compared to other manufactures.

Definitely get the Denon. As an installer I prefer the sound of the Denon receivers better than Yamaha's in general. I actually have the Denon AVR-1611 and I absolutely love it. Mind you it's not the BEST Denon receiver out there but compared to the Yamaha I think it's a bit better. I also like Denon's menus and remotes a little better than Yamaha's. All opinion of course.

The Denon 1611 doesn't have any optical outputs, it has a single optical input.
