Alright...I'll admit it. I'm an idiot. I set up my DENON AVR-991 perfectly a few months ago. After setup I was able to use my Comcast universal remote with no problems.

A few weeks ago I was playing around with some setting and changed something I shouldn't have. Now when I turn on the various components the receiver will automatically change itself to the TV input setting. I have gone all through the settings and can't find what I changed.

Does anyone one know what setting to change so that the receiver will turn on to its last input in use? Any help you can suggest would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using ARC? (Audio Return Channel)

Hello mjpearce023,

I am not using an ACR. Unfortunately, it isn't supported with my current TV.

It sounds to me like it's a TV setting. Did you turn on some kind of HDMI-CEC feature?

I do not believe so....After the set up the new receiver was working perfectly....then I went playing around with the settings within the AVR-991 and this is the result (didn't touch the TV settings at all). It still works as it should, but its just annoying to keep changing the input each time it turns on.

I'm not familiar with any other settings that would cause that. You might want to post in the Denon 3311/991 owners thread. Here is a link

JDsmoothie or Batpig know a lot more about this stuff than I do so maybe they will be able to help you out.

I messed around with my 3311 last night and it might be HDMI control/Power off control that is causing your issue. If you have those set to on see if turning them off helps.
