After quite a bit of time, and a lot of research, watching, and listening.. I've purchased most of the system that I will be installing in my Semi dedicated HT and Media Room "

I have one more major piece of equipment that I need to complete the puzzle and would really appreciate some advice and thoughts about a pre pro that would fit well, at a price point of around $2k.. Then - I'm tapped out. (Yes I know there will be more and it will never end..)

I have put together (from owned and purchased equipment), a Panasonic 7000 projector, a CC Paradigm C-690, LR Studio 60 V 5's, a NAD M-25 -7 channel amp, a HSU 15VH, and will be using Paradigm ADP-590 rears.

My challenge - kind of - is to find a Pre/Pro that doesn't break what's left of the bank. I have a line on a NAD T175HD for $2K or a Marantz 7005 for around $1.2K and am having a hard time telling the difference in value. I am a NAD fan and have a separate system with a NAD T785 that has worked well for me in a downstairs system, but really would like to make the right decision on a Pre/Pro based on the equip that I have listed.

Which would you recommend and why, and maybe as importantly is there another Pre/Pro that would suit the system even better around that price point? I may be over thinking things a bit, but this is the final piece of the system and I want to make sure that I've covered as many bases as possible. Input appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would either go for one of the following:

Marantz 7005
Integra 80.2
Integra 80.3 (slightly over your budget but worth it)
Onkyo 5508

Thanks! Wow feature rich springs to mind after digging into the manuals for some of those, and the Integra 80.3 really springs out for me albeit more $. Doable maybe.

Quick question. What is the difference between the NAD purported superior audio quality that I have read so much about and these units - or is there any and how is it measured? In the system I have the T785 is great in that regard, but I don't have a frame of reference comparing it to any of the models listed. I'm not sure that there is any bullet proof comparison, but would appreciate thoughts and any other input.

Thanks again!
