Looking at possible solutions for upgrading my 4-5 year old Integra DTC 9.8 and looking for suggestions and feedback on what is currently the best as of today. Been looking at the new Integra 80.3, or the current variants from McIntosh, Classe, or Anthem. I will have Paradigm Signatures throughout, with dual custom JL Audio 13W7 subs.

Currently running ATI amplifiers 200W for the fronts and center and 150W for the surrounds. Would also entertain suggestions on amplifier upgrades.

Let me know if any other info is required.

Do you have specific needs or complaints or is it just an upgrade itch?

Mostly just an upgrade itch, although I wouldn't mind having a few extra HDMI inputs.

Well, in that case, get an Anthem D2V and a stack of M1 amps. That should cure the itch.

Now that would be nice, although 1000A M1 would be way overkill for even the top model signatures?

The point is that all your suggested choices are fine but choosing among them requires you to decide what you are looking to achieve with the upgrade.

I can understand that, can you elaborate on what you feel the strengths and weakness of each are comparatively speaking. Or do you have other suggestions? I have read good things about the ARC system on the Anthem was another reason to consider it as it is similar or better than the Audessy on the Inetra.

I will also say I'm a bit fed up with the delay the current Integra has when switching HDMI signals, takes it awhile to lock it in and then translate that over to the projector before the image is displayed. Not a huge deal but very annoying.

I cannot give you a summary or comparison table for these products although I have reviewed them all. For that, you can look at my column.

As for the delay, that is something common to all HDMI switching although the devices you list at among the better/faster ones.

I've been running Sigs for quite a while now using ICEpower amps and for front ends I've had the NAD M15 with an Audyssey SEQ, the Integra 9.8 and now the Denon AVP which I just upgraded to add the Audyssey XT32.
I did a Pro calibration with all obviously.
To my ears the most significant audible differences using digital sources with them lie in the room correction. With the XT32 now in the picture I'd rate them 1. AVP, 2. NAD/SEQ, 3. 9.8
Prior to XT32 I think I would might have switched the NAD & AVP or at least considered them tied.
I haven't experienced ARC so I don't know how it compares to XT32, but based on my own subjective tastes I think upgrading to a unit with XT32 should have an appreciable benefit.

I've always liked the ICEpower amps with Paradigms, even going back to when I had the Studio Series..

Currently in the same spot. Have found some good deals on the 80.2.

Lacks some of the new video processing, but all the sound processing
is the same as the 80.3

Finding them much cheaper than the 80.3

Another item I have been looking at is possibly upgrading to a 4K projector in a few years when prices begin to come down (hopefully). Is there anything to think about associated with the preamp to be on the lookout for associated with outputing 4k?
