I just installed my rc 360 and love it so far. As of now i am only running a 5.1 setupp until my new speakers come in. I am a little confused though as my rears are plugged correctly in but show as the side surround speakers in setup and not rear surround. Any reason for this??? If i am running 5.1 content with will there be a difference or will surround not be heard.

I thought the sides were for optional 7.1 play

In a 5.1 system the surrounds are ideally located 110 degrees from front. When you go to 7.1, the new speaker are the rears, and the existing surrounds get shifted slightly forward to about 90 degrees.
