My Denon 3808 went out on me yesterday, so instead of getting it fixed, Im onthe look out for a new receiver and have no clue where to start. Im looking for something that will work well with my Def Tech setup.( I have the Mythos 2 for fronts, 3 for center, Gems for rears and a Supercube 2 for sub ) As far as price goes....I would like to keep it under 1700.00.

A great place to start is the Denon 4311CI which is the current successor model to the 3808CI ... offers the latest version of Audyssey MultEQ XT32 and can handle up to 11.1 setup with an external amp. Can be had for under your budget by "calling" AV Science or Electronics Expo.

If you think your AVR is defective, refer to the Owner's manual and reset the microprocessor a few times in a row.
