I have a chance to buy a Marantz SR8200 for $200. I have a SR7000 now and am very happy with it. I don't use the 7000 for video switching and I have a 5.1 setup. I use my system for 90% music and 10% TV. A new receiver is out of the question for awhile so I'm thinking this might be a low cost way to upgrade. The SR8200 was about $1200 when new. Anybody have any thoughts on the 8200...any happy owners ...how does it compare to the 7000? Thanks

I had an SR 7000 and replaced it with an SR 7300 last year (bought off eBay for a song). The main difference between the two was that the 7300 had component video ins/outs. For your application, go for it!

The only thiing I've heard about the X200 series is in regard to the 7200. Can't recall what it was, but it annoyed the hell out of owners. They fixed it in the X300 series.
