Are there receivers that support a HDMI input @50 HZ and output @60 HZ. That woudl solve a big problem I have which is too take a 65" TV back to India..

If all you are going to watch are DVDs how about a universal DVD player. I haven't heard of any avr's doing this.

Have look at the NAD receivere. I vaguely remember there was a bug where they were outputting HDMI at a specific setting- it may be 60hz.

Check with the brand/model..
I can tell you that majority of the AVRs auto-detect PAL or NTSC streams and have built-in capability for both. This is done to have more commonality with global markets, but again verify this with your target brand/model.

Hopefully you are aware there are also differences for AC line voltage/frequency and FM/AM tuner channel spacing as well..
