I have the same issue and was thinking it was ios7, but I read early in this thread that you should be able to point a browser at http://youripaddress/top.asp and you should see a basic interface. I can't putll up anything in a browser at that link or the root on my AVR-1912. So, I'm not sure it's IOS7 that's the problem.

Anyone else able to confirm they can connect using a browser?

It was the Denon 3312, more than likely. Had to reset the microprocessor & LOAD SAVEd Configuration.

After that, both the Denon & Marantz Apps now work.

Until they fix this, I will use my Pandora much of the time on my TiVo which works better. I am hoping for a fix in the next couple months, but I would not hold my breath. The TiVo works well, since there are even remote buttons for thumbs up and thumbs down, rather than having to click several menu choices.

If it is important to you, write Denon, I already have, about the Pandora issues. I think the inability to skip songs I do not want to hear and to mark some thumbs up and thumbs down are nice features of Pandora, and Denon's is not currently working.

Hi All,  I've been searching this topic for most of the night with no luck.  Is there any on purpose way to get the "Pandora Menu" up on the Denon Remote App on an Apple device.  When I'm listening to Pandora in my main zone (where my screen is), I can easily access the Pandora menu via the Denon GUI on screen and thumb up/thumb down songs etc.  I've yet to be able to do this on the remote app.  Earlier today I pulled the menu up on the Denon Remote App on my Ipod one time.  I was able to choose "I'm tired of this song", the song skipped and it went back to the Pandora artist screen.  Ever since I haven't been able to find the menu again.  Is there some way to access it repeatably, or is it some super secret easter egg that you can only access if you are facing south at 4:23pm while scratching your left cheek and jumping on one leg?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe there's a way to do this (sort of like Apple's ability within iTunes), but I am not holding my breath. Using the Pandora interface would be a good compromise in my situation at least.

mm

You can trick your amp into doing this.  On your Ipod/Ipad, whatever, go into music, and start playing a song.  Click Airplay, select your Denon as the output.  Once music starts playing on your main zone, select network on your zone 2.  Go back to your Ipod, click the home button to get out of music without shutting it down, open Pandora and poof.  Native Ipod Pandora interface on your Ipod, output playing through Zone 1 and 2 of your Denon.  FYI, I don't think you can shut off your main zone w/ this set up, but you can adjust the volume to Zero.  The Denon App will still show the album art for whatever song was playing in Ipod Music.

FYI.  YMMV

Its infuriating.  The post I quoted was #49 in this thread, so its been "built in" for a long time, just not public facing.  I saw somewhere else in this thread that it comes up on the Ipod app if you navigate to the Pandora menu with the main remote.  That's true, but it is not how I got there earlier today.  Here's a screen capture from a  minute ago when I navigated with the Denon main remote and the on screen GUI:  I just want to figure out how to access it directly from the Ipod app...

Edit:  You can get it on the computer IP screen too using the same steps (Denon main remote):

Yes, got it to work that way (using the Main Denon Remote with the iPod App). Beats having the tv screen on all the time. Although I do have a 19" TV to use for that purpose, among others.

I have a 1913 and was using it with DeRemote on my iPad. I have changed to a tablet with Windows 8 but haven't been able to find a good remote app for it. No need to say that the web page sucks so it is not really an option.

Any suggestion? Something similar to DeRemote but for Windows 8 or Chrome?

Just picked up a AVR-2313 and have run into some problems with the remote app playing files from a media server. I'm able to browse my media server just fine from the app and the AVR's OSD, but can only play from the OSD - the app just spins for a bit when I select a track. Anyone else having this problem? As far as I can tell I have the latest firmware and app version.

All. I'm receiving a Denon AVR x2000 this week.

Am debating two approaches to remote. I might move my whole system to irule, including the Denon "app within an app". Or I might keep my mx900 for "tv facing" and use the Denon remote app to control pandora on zone 2.

Firstly - what is the stand alone Denon app (I thought i saw several on App Store)

Second - who has an opinion about which set up will work best in terms of zone 2 pandora interface?

(By the way, I use pandora all the time at work. I do skip songs, but I rarely use the thumbs -- so that particular feature is not the critical one)

Thanks all.

I use an MX-850 for my theater room (Denon 3313CI, etc.) and use the Denon Remote App (this is the name of the application) on my Andriod devices to control Pandora in the other zone(s). This works very well for me. I get album art and song titles on the Android device.

Good luck

My Denon app is working well for Zone 2 control (mainly of Pandora)

Is there any way to make my Pandora stations display in Alpha order on the app?

The update killed current volume status. Main zone reads 5db, zone 2 reads 0db.

Mine controls volume of each zone individually; but, I rarely use zone 2, never zone 3.

Got mine to work by switching mine on the AVR, then off & back on with AVR & App,
Switch back to how you want it, off & on with both again & they match.

If you're using the Marantz App try the Denon one; my Marantz won't even show the Zones, but Volume is correct.
