HI. I have a Yamaha avantege a3000. I am curious how emotiva might sound compared to the amp in the a3000 and adcom, denon, Harmon kardon etc. I thought about maybe getting a 5 channel amp and add it to the receiver.

Also what happened to emotiva speakers and amps that were there before? No more 7 channel amp and the really nice looking speakers are gone.

I've noticed how often product lines are started and ended at Emotiva. They go for long periods of time with holes in their line up such as a flagship 2 channel pre amp. It's been a good three years with nothing but broken promises and missed dates on the XSP-1, XMC, and a subwoofer line that escapes me.

So don't wait for something from them said to be coming soon. Buy based on their curent products or look elsewhere as they also can be out of stock on something for months.

That being said, I owned an Adcom, and replaced it with an Emotiva XPA-3. At low to medium volumes, there was no difference I could discern.
