Have you folks noticed all the "Official" threads on this forum ... Official Sony thread, Official Pioneer thread, Official this, and Official that thread ...

Seems to just overwhelm all the regular threads started by members looking for an answer to some legitmate question.

So, whats the deal? ... I'm confused with all these "Official" threads

Post your specific question about your specific product in its **Official Thread** were people are familiar with it.

Or start a new one.

Clutter. Just slows down finding what you want. Maybe it made the OP feel important. Maybe just to greatly annoy me. Maybe I don't know why.

It makes it look cooler. Sort of like the kid riding down the street on his bike, with cards in the spokes, and wearing mom's favorite bath towel as a cape.

Generally, an "official" thread is the first on some piece of gear that just came out, or has yet to come out .. with the OP staking claim as the first to post a thread, thus somehow making any subsequent threads somehow less valid .. and, hopefully, providing a one spot resource for issues / questions / etc, which can be searched (but rarely is since repeat questions on long threads are common .. or "I just don't have time to search, so if this has already been asked, sorry .. )
