Greetings Folks,

I just bought Pioneer VSX-51 AV receiver. I connected its HDMI out to HDM!-1 of my Panny S30.

I switched on both receiver and TV, selected HDMI-1 as an input on TV and clicked on _receiver_ button receiver's remote, but nothing is happening. I don't see any home GUI of receiver on TV. The TV does not recognize any input signal at all.

Then I tried to connect VIDEO input of TV to MONITOR_VIDEO output of receiver. I selected VIDEO input on TV, and clicked on VIDEO on receiver. Then I clicked the _receiver_ button again to set it up, but still TV does not recognize any input signal at all.

I'm kinda stuck here. Could you please please help me out?

Thanks,
Jay

Sorry Im a little confused on your post.

This is how your connection should go.

Step 1:

AVR HDMI OUT -> TV HDMI IN

Confirm that your AVR OSD/GUI is visible when you select the hdmi on your TV you connected the AVR into.

Step 2:

Panny S30 OUT -> BD IN of your AVR. (any of HDMI INs will work just figured if you want to keep the labels in line)

Flip on your panny and see if your getting its OSD now.

Alright, I tried the combination you suggested, but still I don't see anything. It says,
"No Signal. Ensure that the external device is turned on and properly connected to the TV's input. Select the source by pressing [INPUT] no the remote."

Any ideas?

Um, break out the receiver manual and check the video/hdmi settings?

Just because there is a knob doesn't mean you should turn it.

hook up to it with the av control app and re-set the video output to something your tv can handle.
With mine it set itself to 1080p but the hdmi cable was weak and could only do 1080i.
