Believe it or not, Best Buy!
I paid $599 for it - not being discounted beyond that anywhere, so I figured it was worth it for the 18 months IFC and the points!
I had an Onkyo TX-NR616, which I returned after three weeks because Onkyo could not get their act together and fix an HDMI out issue as well as the problem of not being able to turn the receiver on with the remote. I had to do something or look at a gaping hole in my entertainment center!!!
So far, so good. The GUI is not bad and YPAO is as easy as it's always been. I fixed a problem this morning with my BD player (Sony BDP-580) where it was only outputting PCM. It's giving me TrueHD now, but I will not get to test it properly until I get home from work tonight.
The main issue I have with it so far is the fact that I can't see a way to save favorites in the vTuner app. I have an email in with Yamaha for an answer on that one. The Onkyo had Slacker, Pandora and Spotify (which I couldn't get to log in), and this doesn't, but it has Airplay which should make them redundant anyway. I have to find a good way of emulating Airplay functionality with my Android phone and tablet, too.
Still have lots of playing to do before I can post a review, but so far, no major issues. Of course, 4k upconverting is a waste until the TVs become available at human pricing, but 1080p is working well, as is 3D and everything else.
There is no dark side of the moon really - as a matter of fact, it's all dark
