I want to use a Denon 4311 and an old POA-8200 amp for a Zone 2. The problem is that the 12v triggers are not compatible. The POA-8200 trigger input accepts a 12v power supply type of connector and the 4311 accepts the newer mono 1/8" headphone jack type input.

Does anyone know if there is some type of adapter that I can use to interface the old trigger type with the new? My cable has two 12v power supply connectors at either end. I would need a female 12v power to a male mono 1/8" headphone jack. Searched and have found nothing.

Thanks

An option is to buy a remote controlled power strip and plug the amp and receiver into it. I've seen some for around $20 on amazon. They save money when things are off since there's no standby power used by the amps and receivers.

What is a "12V power supply type connector"? There are numerous adapters and such at Monoprice, Parts Express, Radio Shack, Allied, etc. Or you can buy the connector you require and attache it to the wire aftre cutting off the old one (or splicing in the new).

You're the man Dundas. Thank you. Guess I could have spliced/soldered but this makes a lot more sense for me.
