I am using a Denon AVR 788. Most of my speakers are in storage. I have a pair of Klipsh RF-82's hooked up to to the front A. Can I run the speakers through both front A and B or Rear L/R so that I can play two different inputs through them simultaneously i.e. a game system with sound effects on and my own music from a separate output source? Really do not want to damage the speakers or amp of course. Thanks in advance for any advice.
I may have misread your first post ... are you trying trying to play the 2 sources through both sets of speakers at the same time or simply play one source through 1 set of speakers and another source through another set of speakers? If the latter, then yes, you can connect the 2nd set of speakers to the Surr Back/Amp Assign speaker posts and set Amp Assign to Zone 2. You can then play one source to the Front A speakers and another (analog only) source to the Zone 2 speakers.
I've used the multi set of speaker set up with Zone 2 plenty of times but currently only have one set of speakers out of storage. I was trying to play 2 sources through the same set (only 2) speakers.
I believe the speakers themselves could do it if wired to 2 separate sources entirely but there seems to be no way to have the receiver funnel 2 sources connected to it through the one set of speakers.
