Hi guys,

i recently ordered Q900 with other set 5.1 and they offered me onkyo 3009 i want to know if it is great Amp for the set or not?

do i really need to upgrade to 5009 or 3009 is enough?

there is any denon that is better than 3009 but similar or close price of 3009?

If you only have one subwoofer you could also look at the Onkyo 818. It has the XT32 that the 4311 and 3009 both have just without the SubEQ HT. SubEQ just sets the distance and levels of 2 subs separately during the Audyssey setup which you won’t need with a 5.1 or 7.1 system. The 4311 is a good pick as well. Even at two years old it’s one of the top performers out there and still has a leg up on the Onkyos if you need 11 channels.
