My budget is $700.00 there going to be pushing Klipsh rf 62s for now its a 2.0 system. It will be used for mainly movies and games. I do like the Denon and Pioneer look.

Seven hundred for a receiver gives one lots of choice. Details? How will you use it a year or two down the road? Lot's of decent 5.1 and 7.2 units available.

Consider either last year's Denon AVR-2112CI or the new 2113CI as the best bang for the buck Denon models. Review the first couple of posts in each of the Owner's threads linked in my sig for a comparison of the various models.

Call for pricing on Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, Onkyo, Klipsch, Def Tech, Oppo, Parasound
** Think the AVR is defective?  Reset the microprocessor 4-5 times.

I picked up a Denon 1713 and am very happy with it, I also have RF62's and it drives them very well. It's a 5.1 im not sure if you are looking for more, but they have better ones in their lineup obviously. Very happy with this year's line.

I eventually want the whole 7.1 set up. I'm in my first apartment and this is something I want to have and expand on when I have my home

These days I wouldn't count on an AVR lasting much more than 4-5 years in order to keep up with HDMI changes, especially with the next change to HDMI 1.5 (or 2.0) due out sometime the end of this year.

I pulled the trigger on a unit today that came out but a few weeks ago and already, even though it hasn't arrived yet, I have to take it out back and shoot it? eek.gif

"Sorry baby, even though you're new, see, I have to toss you to the curb like last week's news cause there's newer and better coming down the street and I can't hold back when there's better, see."
