So I got the pioneer 1122 and its wonderful. However, I'm thinking its more then I need and thinking about saving $350.00 and going to the 1021. I'm no genius at this so I was wondering If I can get some input.

Not quite the same thing, but when I was weighing the 1020 vs the 1120, the deciding factor was that I wanted the pre outs of the 1120, to be able to add an outboard amp in the future if needed. As far as the rest of the whizbang features - Internet radio, iPhone control, etc., I don't really use them.

The 1122 doesn't have a full set of preouts, it doesn't look much different from the 1021. I think the 1122 adds Pandora streaming.

You probably could save some money by going with the older model, provided you can even find it anymore.

Wow, you're right - strange that they removed that since the 1120
