The Bryston demo booth was an extremely well designed space, the music sounded amazing, and there was great quality coffee.

There is now a link on our website to the Bryston Model A Sub - this Sub is two 10 inch drivers in a bi-pole configuration.

SOUND REBELS MAGAZINE

Bryston system in Munich sounds great, and showed that High-End starts at very normal prices.

Munich Audio Show May 2015

I attended the show and can confirm that the Mini Ts did sound great!

I enjoyed the warm welcome at the booth and even got a free capucchino.

Edvard and Brian were wondeful hosts.

Thanks!

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT: Bryston New Integrated Audio Device - Feedback

May 2015

Hi James,

“I am absolutely and thoroughly delighted to inform you that the BDP-2 has arrived and the set up took exactly 10 minutes !!

The sound straight out of the box is nothing short of ethereal.

The noise reduction and expansive soundstage is unreal! Coming from a PC based server to the BDP-2 has been more than just ear opening to say the least. As it settles in, I shall report my impressions, bout the new integrated sound card but from what I am listening, I am all ready to be bowled over.

Thanks to everyone at Bryston! This was well worth the wait !”

Cheers
Sujay,
South Africa

Hmmm. The website says >> any vibrations induced into the enclosure are cancelled thereby preventing cabinet colouration from distorting the midrange of your full-range channels.<< But that's not strictly correct. The cabinet as a whole may not be shifting position in reaction to driver energy, but if, for example, the side walls of the cabinet are flexing or ringing, that sound remains present in the room regardless of a single or bipole driver setup.

Hi Roger

I will ask engineering on that - I think what is meant, (and you can certainly feel it by touching the cabinet of the Sub), is while it is playing very loudly there is no sense of movement in the cabinet as opposed to a more traditional 1 driver Sub. I was surprised really by how inert and vibration free the sub cabinet was while I was running test tones through it.

Yes, there is definitely less vibration of the overall cabinet with dual opposing drivers. I am referring to a totally different mechanism of cabinet colorations, as in the type that Stereophile looks at when they place accelerometers on the walls of the cabinet to look for resonances. This has to do with material choice, thickness, internal bracing, internal damping, etc. These aspects cannot be addressed by opposing driver arrangements.

Ah yes I see what you mean. Correct cabinet bracing and resonance control is very important. We look at that in all our speakers and provide bracing and reinforcement where needed to make the enclosure as resonant free as we can.
