Well, after about three years of problem after problem it looks like my Harmon Kardon is done. Can you guys recommend a replacement that would run around $350.00 or so? I was thinking maybe an Onkyo, Denon or Yamaha and was hoping to get something with comparable features but without all the problems!

Thanx for any help

The only other brand I would really recommend would be Marantz. In your price range, the only one that fits is the NR1402 for $319, or the NR1403 for $399.

You should be able to pick up one of last year's models on clearance for under your budget. Check with your local Best Buy stores for a demo.

I'm in the same boat. I have a found a Yamaha RX-V571BL Open Box (missing the remote and the YPAO setup mic) for $199.99 plus tax. Thinking of getting it since I have a Harmony One Remote and can borrow the YPAO setup mic from my brother.

An "open box" unit should still come with the mfr's full warranty making it a good buy as well. smile.gif

I should probably have mentioned that I think the open box might actually be missing the box too. eek.gif
