I bought a HT-S9100THX a few years ago, and after a year of ownership, the AVR HDMI board went out. I ended up changing the capacitors, and it has worked fine since. I've had it for almost 5 years now. I am hoping to buy a house at the end of the year, and I will be buying a new home theater system as well. However, I don't think I will be buying an Onkyo AVR anymore. I think I am going to give Denon a try.

I received my TX-NR616 this week and so far so good. First thing I did was hook up the internet and update the firmware, which went real smooth. So far I'm not seeing any of the issues that people have seen but obviously I need to log some more time on it. I'm real happy with how easy the set up is and after a quick run through with Audussy, how well it sounds. Looking forward to this weekend so I can really get a chance to play with it.
