I have a 4X4 HDMI matrix running into a Denon AVR-1612 then a HDMI running to a Epson 3010 projector. The strange problem is that Im not getting any audio to the speakers ran into the denon avr but I'm getting the audio out of the projector speakers. When I hookup my iPod to the denon avr audio play just fine from the speakers.

Any clue why audio is only passing through to the projector and not going to the 5.1 system?

So then is the audio to the PJ coming from the AVR or from one of the other HDMI outputs on the switch? Have you tried connecting the AVR to each of the other outputs on the switch? Confirm the "HDMI Audio Out" setting is set to "AMP." Try unplugging the AVR for about 10 minutes. If still no jooy, then try resetting the microprocessor on the AVR (p. 94).

The Audio from the pj is coming from the output on the avr.
4x4 Matrix > cat5 x2 > Matrix switch > HDMI > AVR input 1 > AVR Out HDMI > Projector
I'll give your suggestions a try after work.
I haven't changed any settings on the avr or setup the system with the mic yet. I'm not sure if I have to setup the avr with the mic first. I didnt have the speakers in the final location yet so I was just checking signal flow and making sure the handshake between components was good.

I have tried that with no success. I think the switch might be bad because at some point it was working, then I moved the equipment and now it's not working.
