Hi folks.
New to the site and couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for. I have 4 in-ceiling speakers on my main floor that I'd like to hook up to my Airport Express to stream music wirelessly on my network...easy enough. What I need is a decent and small receiver to hook the speakers/airport to. Obvious needs are speaker terminals and a digital (optical) input. I really will never need anything else.

Anybody with some input?

MadCash (my kids names...not my financial aspirations)

This Onkyo TX-8050 seems to be what you're looking for:

No first-hand knowledge of it though.

Oh wait you said "small"--maybe this one? Half the power, though, and twice as expensive.

I would think that just about any receiver with A+B speaker terminals in your price range would satisfy your needs. If you're just looking for fill the room with sound I wouldn't break the bank but that's totally up to you.
