Pioneer New SC-LX56 with 11 channels 170 W compare with Pioneer VSX-LX55 with 9 channels 150 W, but for power consumption, Pioneer SC-LX56 is using only 330W in use and 0.1W during standby compare to LX55 that use 550W in use and 0.4W in standby.. How can that be possible? :S

similar implimentation of class d Bang & Olufsen digital amp modules used up to sc-lx83/73. I think pioneer are using their own class d3 units since last gen. to include this sc-lx56. Reports seemly point to this d3 amp not sounding as powerful as previous B&O versions,but reviews should start to appear incl. the review for the '86 in WHF S&V- They rate it over the anthem mrx700. interesting...
