Does anyone know why my receiver would suddenly start to power off? I have had it for a couple years and have never had a problem until last night. I left it turned off thinking it might have over heated and turned it back on but it continues to turn off randomly whether it's been on for five minutes or two hours. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

carefully check all your speaker wires to make sure that strands haven't worked loose and are shorting....

also check the wires themselves to insure no fraying, etc. that might be causing a short...

I will check that as soon as I'm home. I found it weird because I have not moved or changed a thing so for it to suddenly start shutting off seemed bizarre. I pretty much ruled out overheating because it does it so randomly I figured it must be something else. It's a pain because everything I have runs through the receiver and it shuts everything off when it powers down mad.gif

Thanks for your response!
