Beyond the standard 7.1 channels, the extra channels are not discrete; they're derived channels. It's not a matter of being fair, especially since the previous poster asked if the extra channels would be discrete.

Ok, missed the op thinking there was any source beyond 7.1 in terms of discrete content. Processed content still has value for 11ch use.
